Safe Call Now® at the 2015 ILEETA Conference

Safe Call Now® Director of Curriculum & Training - Captain Brian Nanavaty

Safe Call Now® was recently joined by our friends at My Money Wellness at the 2015 International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA) conference in Wheeling, Illinois from April 20-24.

In addition to presenting two well received training courses: Averting Personal and Career Crisis and Officer Development through Mentoring, Safe Call Now® and My Money Wellness interacted with hundreds of attendees in the Exposition Hall, distributing materials and sharing information on Safe Call Now®’s non-profit mission and crisis and referral services. In addition to wellness and development issues, ILEETA attendees were also made aware of the importance of financial education for first responders and the impact of financial distress on relationships.

In an effort to promote crisis awareness and financial literacy, Safe Call Now® and My Money Wellness developed a Three Minute Crisis Survey, agency leaders and training instructors could distribute to their employees to gauge the need and desire for future training on these impactful topics.

In addition to the groundbreaking survey, Safe Call Now® and My Money Wellness are also partnering to bring an educational webinar to interested agencies and trainers available on Monday, May 18 at 10 a.m. (EST) information TBA.

If you are interested in bringing the survey to your agency just follow these two steps:

1)             Copy and Paste the below pre-scripted, confidential, anonymous email and distribute it by email to your entire agency,

PRE- SCRIPTED EMAIL (Please cut and paste below message to your agency members):

(SUBJECT): Bulletproof Your Life

(EMAIL BODY): How much control do you have over the things in your personal or professional life? How much planning have you done for retirement? Will your pension plan alone sustain you?

As Kevin Gilmartin notes in his book, “Emotional Survival for Law Enforcement,” cops arrive at retirement either as victims or survivors.  Which path are you on?

Many officers work overtime and extra jobs, and that increases time away from family thus providing work-life stress, Physical and mental health issues and relationship and financial distress.

We want to empower you to be healthy at home and at work. Please take this quick, confidential Three-Minute Survey. The anonymous responses will help us respond to your training needs as Safe Call Now® builds a training program to help you “Bulletproof Your Life.”

Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey.

(ADD YOUR NAME AND TITLE)

2)      Safe Call Now® and My Money Wellness will compile the results of the survey and send you a personalized organizational assessment (the survey is confidential but we do ask for agency name).

Our thanks to Harvey Hedden, Brian Willis, Mary Grace Barbye, and the Westin Chicago North Shore for a successful 2015 ILEETA experience
