What Happens When it All Goes Wrong???

 What I have found helpful is Red Folder's “designee” function. This is quite unique as it allows me to assign a designee of my choice. It could be my partner or spouse, it could be a neighbor if I’m away and would like to have someone watch over things. 

Christopher Burgess (the co-founder of Red Folder) uses the term Designee to signify the “designated trustee” to whom you choose to authorize access to your account and the information contained within your Red Folder. Accessing your account entails, logging into Red Folder, going through the two-step authentication, and using the secret encryption key you provided. The key will unlock your Red Folder information. For this reason, we suggest you choose your designees wisely.

A designee requests access to a Designated Account. The time of the request is logged and the Time Lock settings are checked.

Notification is received that your designee has initiated a request to access your Red Folder and the exact time the Time Lock is scheduled to expire, opening your account to your designee.

The notification will also enable the user to override the time lock and immediately authorize or deny access. (This advisory from Red Folder is repeated every 24 hours.)

When the time lock expires or authorization is provided, the Designee will receive notification they may access your account.

The designee must log in using their own User ID/Password and go through a complete authentication sequence. They then must enter your secret encryption key, provided to them by you.
